Sorry folks for the recent downtime and site errors.

We had a catastrophic server failure and are in the process of moving to a new server. You may experience errors during this time, we are working on fixing those as soon as possible and will post more information once we believe we have the situation resolved.

Hey, BA.

This seems like an appropriate place to post this...
Im sure the last thing you want to do is fix more errors, that could
possibly lead to more errors? but ---

Thought I should say something on this, I don't know whether you're aware
of it or not, but the sustain on certain tabs aren't what they use to be.
It seems that sometime during these past 4 months, certain Tabs that were set to "full sustain" are now set to "1 beat". As far as I can tell, it's
happening only with tabs that are a year or more old. Some examples are
quite a few of Dragmire's tabs, including Clock Town, Termina Field, and Song of Storms. Those of which I am positive were not set to 1 beat.

I can't imagine there is an easy way to fix this...and if there truly isn't,
may I suggest simply unlocking the "Sustain Notes" in all tabs, so that each
person has an option to change the default sustain of a tab, to however
many beats they want. Similar to how people are able to raise/lower the tempo of any person's tab.     Sorry, and Thanks for your time.
I appreciate all the work you and the other Admins put into this site.

I am a fool for not noticing this sooner, but the "download midi" link works fine, and plays the midi's as they should be played. Or atleast plays them
at full sustain.

Fyi there are still tabs that have the same problem as I listed above,
but from what I've seen, you've fixed most of them.
It really isn't a big deal though, since the download midi link works fine.

& This is irrelevant, but can you change my email?
I had it entered in wrong to begin with.
I'd like it switched to aceofdirt@yahoo.com
Thanks and I apologise for the trouble.

You got it Cross. Thanks again. I think we've gotten it fixed for all the tabs now. But please let us know if you come across another one.

BA I've noticed that sometimes when writing tabs it will write like its in overwrite mode like in microsoft word, but I'm not actually asking you to fix it can you should make a over write feature when writing tabs because I found really fast and conveniente when I was fixing my tabs

Overwrite mode?
Are you talking about the insert key? (There is a key on the keyboard that says 'insert' which will allow you to overwrite; instead of adding onto)
Sometimes when Im tabbing I will accidently hit this.

Strange. Maybe it is something to do with the site, as you say.
I just thought I was accidentally bumping it while hitting backspace.

Sorry for double posting, but

When you say it's in overwrite mode, you mean that ordinary text
characters replace the existing text after point rather than pushing it to the right? If so, then the insert key should do just this. Did you test it out on a tab? Mine only works when I am using it on a tab. Well, sorry if I couldn't help.

Overwrite / insert mode is quite handy while editing tabs, I agree. We haven't done anything special to enable this feature though. It probably depends on the browser you're using as to whether or not it works, though if it is possible for us to enable something like this, we'll definitely look into adding it.
